Friday Focus #026 - Why Most Business Coaches & Consultants are a Terrible Investment

Hey,
When seeking advice and guidance, it's common for most people to turn to the wrong sources. So, who is the right person to seek advice from?
The answer is simple: Only seek advice from someone who meets two crucial criteria:
- They have personally walked a similar path to yours and accomplished what you aspire to achieve.
- They have already guided someone along your current path (successfully).
If they have yet to experience success or work closely with others to achieve what you desire, are they truly the right person to guide you?
Whether you're considering a business coach or consultant or hiring new team members, you must surround yourself with individuals who have reached leadership positions based on their proven performance, not just their potential.
You need to acknowledge the truth: If you don't have someone on your team who has already accomplished what you're striving for, you're bound to face trial and error. And let's be honest, errors cost both time and money, delaying the realization of your vision.
If you truly want to grow, hack your business, and achieve what takes most entrepreneurs five years in just two, finding others who have done it before is imperative. Invite them into your circle, ask insightful questions, be attentive, listen intently, and follow a proven track record of success.
It's time for some introspection. Take a moment to consider: Who do you currently have on your team who has already achieved something similar to what you're pursuing? If the answer is no one, it's time to search for someone who fits the bill actively.
Think about it. Then, take action.
Stay Focused,
Casey
