Friday Focus #039 - Facing Your Fears: How to Turn Anxiety into Empowerment
Jul 09, 2024Read Time: 2 Minutes
Hey,
As a leader, you shoulder more responsibilities than most. Things don’t always go to plan, and you often find yourself nervous and anxious, waiting for something bad to happen. Fears and frustrations can paralyze you, keeping you up at night and preventing you from making good decisions.
Many people let their fears and frustrations take over their lives, allowing them to build up and explode. This can lead to personal and professional breakdowns.
Ignoring or suppressing your fears and frustrations only makes them grow stronger.
The best way to overcome this problem is simply by talking about it. By bringing these issues to light, you can start working through the real underlying problems.
Here is what I have found to be the best course of action to stop these fears and frustrations from getting in the way of your success:
- List out your fears and frustrations.
- Identify what you’re scared might happen or what you’re worried won’t happen.
- Share this information with someone who is a good listener and wise enough to help you find solutions.
Remember, the power to change comes from within. Once you realize you are the source of many fears and frustrations, you can take control and make positive changes.
Stay Focused,
Casey
